This course will introduce you to the fundamental relationship between publishers and developers and the key legal issues that often surface in a video game publishing deal. The United States and China are the two biggest gaming markets in the world. This course will also introduce the video game publishing regulatory framework in China and compare it with publishing in the US. The speakers will discuss an important component of publishing — content review — and explore the differences between the US model (ESRB rating) and Chinese model (NPPA approval).
